Pressure display shows nothing / low battery symbolBattery level too lowCharge before use via the Type-C port; ensure battery level is sufficient before inflating
Air leaking at the hose jointAir hose not securely connected to the inflator or the item's valveEnsure both ends of the air hose are tightly and securely connected before inflation
Wrong valve adapter fitting looselyIncorrect adapter selected for the valve typeUse the correct adapter — Ball Needle, Presta Valve, Long Tapered, or Short Tapered nozzle — for the item being inflated
Hose or joint feels very hot after useNormal heat build-up during/after inflationAllow the hose and joint to cool before touching or unscrewing, to avoid burns
Inflation stopped but pressure is wrong for the itemWrong inflation mode selected, or over-inflation riskCheck the required pressure for the item first (from its own instructions), then re-select the correct mode with "M" and re-set target pressure

2. Pressure Unit Mismatch (BAR vs. PSI)

If the target/preset pressure looks far too high or too low — for example the inflator stops well short of what's needed, or seems to over-inflate — the unit may be set to the wrong scale (e.g. BAR selected when you meant PSI, or vice versa). The units are not interchangeable 1:1 (1 BAR ≈ 14.5 PSI).

Fix:

  1. Long-press "M" to cycle through the pressure units: PSI → BAR → KPA → KG/CM².
  2. Stop on the correct unit for your use case (PSI is standard for most car and bike tyres).
  3. Press "+" or "–" to re-enter your desired target pressure.
  4. Confirm the unit shown on the display before pressing the power button to start inflation.

3. Selecting the Wrong Inflation Mode

Vayu 2.0 has 4 built-in modes: Car, Motorcycle, Bicycle, and Balls. Inflating in the wrong mode can lead to under- or over-inflation relative to what you intended, especially for lower-pressure items like sports balls.

Fix:

  1. Press "M" (short press) to cycle through the inflation modes.
  2. Select the mode that matches what you're inflating.
  3. Use "+"/"–" to set the target pressure for that item before starting.

4. Over-Inflation Risk

The manual specifically warns to check the required pressure for the item before inflating, to prevent injuries caused by over-inflation. If unsure of the correct pressure:

  • Check the sidewall of a tyre for its recommended PSI/BAR rating.
  • Check the item's own packaging or instructions for balls and other inflatables.
  • Use the Pressure Range guide: this device supports 3–150 PSI, with ± 1 PSI accuracy.

5. Battery & Charging Notes

  • Ensure the battery level is sufficient before starting inflation — insufficient charge can cause the appliance to stop mid-task.
  • Charge via the Type-C charging port (Input: 5V ⎓ 2A) using the supplied charging cable.
  • Battery capacity is 6,000 mAh; monitor the Battery Level Indicator on the display.
