TABLE OF CONTENTS

1. My speaker won't turn on

  1. Plug it in to charge using the charging cable that came with it.
  2. Let it charge for about 3 hours.
  3. Look for a blinking light — that means it's charging.
  4. Try turning it on again.

If it still won't turn on after a full charge, please contact us.

2. It won't connect to my phone

  1. On the speaker, press the power button once (a short press).
  2. On your phone, go to Settings → Bluetooth.
  3. Look for "Portronics NOVA" in the list and tap it.
  4. Wait a few seconds — music should now play through the speaker.

If your phone doesn't find it, turn the speaker off and on again, then try once more.

3. I plugged in a cable but there's no sound

  1. Make sure the cable is pushed in firmly on both ends (your phone/laptop and the speaker).
  2. Check the volume on your phone or laptop — not just the speaker.
  3. If it's still quiet, unplug and replug the cable.

4. I can't answer calls through the speaker

This only works when connected over Bluetooth (not with a cable).

  • To answer: press the middle button once.
  • To hang up: press the middle button once again.
  • To call the last number back: press the middle button twice quickly.

5. I have two speakers and want them to play together (stereo)

  1. Turn both speakers on.
  2. On both speakers at the same time, quickly press the power button twice.
  3. Wait — you'll hear a voice say it's connected.

Important: this only works if both speakers were bought as a matching pair or are from the same batch. If you're trying to link two NOVA speakers bought separately and it's not working, this could be why — please contact us and we'll check.

To undo it: quickly press the power button twice on either speaker.

6. The volume suddenly got quiet and I heard a voice message

That means the battery is getting low. Just plug it in to charge — this is normal, not a fault.

7. The speaker turned off by itself

If you don't use it for 15 minutes, it turns off on its own to save battery. This is completely normal — just press the power button to turn it back on.

8. Volume or song skipping isn't working right

  • Tap the "+" or "–" button once → changes volume.
  • Press and hold the "+" or "–" button → skips to the next or previous song.

9.Still stuck?
