1. Quick Reference Table
| Problem | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Speaker won't turn on | Battery discharged, or auto shutdown at <3% triggered | Charge via Type-C for ~4 hours, then long-press the power button |
| Speaker beeping at intervals | Low battery alarm (below 10%) | Charge the speaker soon to avoid an automatic shutdown at 3% |
| Won't pair over Bluetooth | Not in Bluetooth mode | Short-press the Mode/Power button to enter Bluetooth mode; search "Dash 3" again |
| TF card / AUX not playing | Wrong source prioritized | Briefly press the Mode/Power button to switch between TF card and AUX when both are inserted |
| Wireless mic not connecting | Speaker and mic not powered on together | Turn both on at the same time — the 2.4G signal pairs automatically |
| Mic sound effects not changing | Wrong press length used | Short press cancels original sound; long press cycles the 6 magic sound modes |
| RGB lights won't change | Wrong press length used | Long-press the Mode/Power button to cycle light effects; short press only switches playback mode |
2. Speaker Won't Turn On
- Long-press the power button and check for a response.
- Connect the Type-C cable to charge — a full charge takes about 4 hours.
- Check the charging indicator: red light on means it's charging, off means fully charged (or not receiving power — try a different cable if there's no light at all).
- Remember that below 3% battery, the speaker shuts down automatically to protect the battery — this is expected, not a fault, if it happened during use.
- If it still won't turn on after a full charge, this may point to a hardware fault — contact support.
3. Battery Beeping / Low Battery Warnings
Cause: when the battery drops below 10%, the speaker emits a prompt sound at intervals as a warning.
Fix: charge the speaker in a timely manner. If ignored, it will automatically shut down once the battery drops below 3% to protect the battery from damage.
4. Won't Pair Over Bluetooth
- On power-up, Dash 3 defaults to Bluetooth mode — if it's not, short-press the Mode/Power button to switch to it.
- On your phone, search for Bluetooth devices and select "Dash 3."
- Listen for the prompt sound confirming a successful connection.
- After the first pairing, Dash 3 should reconnect automatically to your phone on future power-ons. If it doesn't, check your phone's Bluetooth settings and reconnect manually.
- Stay within the ≤10m transmission range during pairing.
5. TF Card or AUX Mode Not Working
- TF card: insert it fully into the slot — playback should start automatically with a prompt sound. Only TF cards up to 32GB in MP3 or WAV format are supported.
- AUX: insert a 3.5mm cable — playback should switch automatically with a prompt tone.
- Both inserted at once: briefly press the Mode/Power button to switch between the two sources; the speaker won't automatically alternate between them on its own.
- If nothing plays, check the file format is supported (MP3, WMA, WAV) and test the card/cable on another device to rule out a hardware issue.
6. Wireless Microphone Won't Connect
- Power on the speaker and the microphone at the same time — pairing over the 2.4G wireless signal happens automatically at power-on.
- If it doesn't connect, power-cycle both the speaker and the mic, then try again.
- Confirm the mic itself has charge — long-press its power button to check if it responds at all.
7. Microphone Volume or Sound Effects Not Working
| Control | Press | Function |
|---|---|---|
| "+" | Short press | Increase mic volume |
| "+" | Long press | Next song |
| "–" | Short press | Reduce mic volume |
| "–" | Long press | Previous song |
| Power | Short press | Switch between karaoke mode and speech mode |
| Effect button | Short press | Cancel the original (unmodified) sound |
| Effect button | Long press | Cycle through 6 magic sound modes |
If none of these respond, confirm the mic is connected (see section 6) and has sufficient charge.
8. RGB Light Modes Not Changing
Long-press the Mode/Power button to cycle through the 5 light modes (colour running, red/blue/green gradient breathing, blue breathing, green breathing, off). A short press on the same button changes the playback mode instead — it's easy to mix these up since they share a button.
9. Charging Issues
- Use the supplied Type-C cable with a DC 5V/1A power source.
- A full charge takes about 4 hours.
- The charging indicator glows red while charging and turns off once fully charged.
- If there's no indicator light at all while connected to a known-working charger, try a different cable before assuming a hardware fault.
